Hawaii ranks 2nd in the nation for kid asthma sufferers
About eleven percent of children from Hawaii have asthma, which is the 2nd highest percentage in the United States. The vog from the Big Island volcanoes have long been thought of as the asthma culprit, but research suggests that the problem lies with genetics and smoking. Other asthma triggers include dust mites and pet dander.
