Your home could be making you sick

Allergens, toxins, irritants could exist in every dark recess of your home. Those allergens are responsible for asthma, hayfever, and eczema. The EPA lists some important information that the public should know about mold. A key piece of information, is to dry any area exposed to water from leaks and storms, immediately, to prevent mold growth. Anti-microbial sprays like Febreeze help control mold growth on fabrics. Poor air quality inside homes can be attributed to dust mites and dust. When dust mite infestation levels become high, dust mite allergen can cause serious asthma attacks. It is suggested that you wash sheets and blankets weekly. Pets can also exacerbate allergy problems, because children with asthma will have more frequent allergic reactions when pets leave behind saliva, urine, and pet danger that will be spread around the home. To make sure allergens don't get into hard to clean places, keep pets off fabric covered furniture.

They can be removed using a 3-prong approach (removal from the air -- they ride on floating skin cells), removal from contact surfaces (pillows, sofas, mattresses) and removal from carpet and rugs. As a home health environmentalist, I am encourages by the steps that can be taken to eradicate this menace. Freezing pillows and sealing mattresses isn't conclusive enough: the carpet and the air must also be addressed, and the sheets will get the lion's share of the skin slough each day, so they need attention. Freezing pillows kills the mites but not the enzymes that are the problem. Washing sheets regularly helps, but there is concern about the scalding water temperature that is necessary, especially if a family has older guests or young children. We offer our clients the opportunity to use the new Rainbow "Rainbowmate" which has a horsehair head, independent motor, and creates enough rpm that the vibrations open up air channels in fabrics so that the air flow (not suction -- suction doesn't actually clean anything) can reach deep inside a mattres or pillow. With hurricane-force winds of over 100 mph, the Rainbowmate rapidly removes skin ash (dead skin cells) and dust mites from deep down inside uphostery, mattresses, etc. This system does not lose either air flow or suction and therefore has the staying power to vacuum out an entire mattress or sofa effectively. My opinion is simple...For myself and my mother, I will say this:...For 7 years we have lived with mite infestation...been to 4 doctors and all said there was nothing...Once a doctor examines you for the first time...thereafter, it's all over...Every doctor will think you are nuts...Don't believe me...BELIEVE IT !!!!! The medical community is not equipped to deal with this problem and will not deal with it because they don't know how to find it or treat it...If someone were to ever get serious about finding the truth, it would open a can of worms that would SHOCK !!!! the American public...But, for now, WE ALL have to suffer and have crammed down our throats that we have parasatosis....One day the truth will be known...but too late for us... larry
