IAQ Singapore has launched a dust mites detection kit which allows you to check the level of dust mite allergen on a surface. This detection kit is reported to be easy to use and fast.

My family is HIGHLY allergic to dust mites. Both of my children were on all kinds of med's for it. Singular, inhaulers, and sprays.
We had allergic test and found that it was dust mites and OUTDOOR mold.
We did it all...From covering the beds, pillows, NO stuff animals (they hold dust mites like crasy), Sweep more, CLEAN duct working out (this was a big help to us), and we added an Air bear filtering system on our furence (which I also believe helped a lot.) We also took out all CARPET in the bedrooms and replace it with pergo (we still had carpet in our family room but they didn't spend as much time in there as they did in bed.)
Today my children are not on ANY med's at all.
